Hello Friends,

I am Elvin Godinho and studied at St. Theresa’s during the period 1971-1981. The 1981 SSC batch must be still remembered for the phenomenal results of obtaining many top state ranks (1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th, 11th …) by Lakshmi Kapoor, Neeta Kini, Sparsh Kapur, etc, etc. Click here. I loved school. Especially St. Theresa’s. This was from 1975-1980.

People bunked or wanted to finish off with school, I never did. I wanted it to go on!!

The friends I made and the wonderful teachers we had, made it always feel like summertime. I simply never got sick because skipping school was worse than getting the flu.

OK all you Theresians – great to know that you all are interested in renewing old ties and reliving memories, but then again why is this blogging so slow? I have found that many Theresians, in Vasco itself, are not aware of the celebrations or the website, so a very urgent request goes out to all who are in the know, to make a concerted effort to inform as many people as you can, by whatever means.

I don’t know how many of you will remember me; I was the School Leader in 71-72 (1st elected one, I think). Were there School Leader’s (or elections) before that? Dear Organizers,
I am very pleased that my school is going to celebrate its 50th Anniversary. Although, I would have loved to be there for every event, I am unable to do so, and will be there in spirit.

My name is Rohmer Anthony McMahon, known to everyone as Tony. Well it’s good to know that some one remembers us still – ha ha ha ! just joking – who would forget the McMahon’s from Vasco. I think we all were quite notorious and known by almost everyone in Vasco. I studied in St. Therese’s High School from the year it started till my passing my SSC in 1967. I am Lalita Correia–Afonso and studied at St. Therese’s from 1974-1979 (classes VI – X). My younger sisters Priya, Deepa and Romiila also passed out from St. Therese’s, and St. Therese’s therefore has a large presence in our childhood memories. School days invoke nostalgia, and looking back we can truly count our blessings and say we were blessed and fortunate to have had a fantastic institution like St. Therese’s as our alma mater, which provided us with a sound foundation and values, for which we will always remain grateful and indebted.
